“EnglishUSA would like to congratulate JAOS on your 30th anniversary. We are proud to collaborate with JAOS as a Strategic Affiliate and look forward to the next 30 years and the work your association and member programs accomplish to support Japanese students all over the world.”

Congratulations JAOS, On Your 30th Anniversary!
On behalf of the Languages Canada Board, members and staff, I wish to extend our congratulations to JAOS for 30 years of excellence in supporting top quality study abroad experiences for Japanese students.
Languages Canada’s 200 members, comprised of English and French public universities and college and private language schools across nine provinces, have greatly appreciated the work of JAOS over the years. LC members have many partnerships with JAOS members, working together to help Japanese students realize their English and French language learning goals in Canada, and often supporting them on their ongoing journey to Canadian postsecondary programs and employment opportunities.
Japan has been one of the top three largest sending countries for Languages Canada members since 2008, and the top source country in 2021, a testament to the long-standing ties between JOAS and Languages Canada members, and indeed to the importance of education in the Canada-Japan relationship.
Once again, congratulations to JAOS members and the leadership team, and we look forward to the next thirty years of partnership between our two associations and members.
Gonzalo Peralta Executive Director – Languages Canada
On behalf of the International Association of Language Centres (IALC), I would like to congratulate JAOS on its 30th Anniversary celebration. I had the privilege of attending the 25th Anniversary and IALC has been working closely with JAOS since 2018. We truly value the support of JAOS through the various campaigns including a scholarship program for Japanese students, agent roadshow events and dialogue with the FELCA association on important initiatives in the wake of the pandemic.
The IALC / JAOS partnership stems from a joint commitment to quality education and pursuit of excellence. We look forward to many more years of joint campaigns in the hope that this will facilitate more Japanese youth being able to explore exciting destinations around the globe, so that they may return to Japan and utilize their knowledge and confidence for the benefit of Japanese society.
Robin Adams, President IALC

JAOS is one of the longest-standing agent associations and its success and longevity is down to the professionalism of the organization, its staff and the high standards of its members. This professionalism is admired and appreciated by our member schools who share the mutual goal of striving for excellence.
We very much look forward to working with you closely over the next 30 years and beyond!
Jonathan Swindell Chief Executive of Quality English
Congratulations to all of the JAOS members on the milestone of your 30 th anniversary.
The past few years have been a very difficult time in both Japan and UK. As we now look beyond the Covid-19 pandemic, student mobility in both directions is starting to increase again.
At the British Council, we believe that the experience of studying abroad helps equip the next generation with the mutual understanding and trust to work together. These programmes represent a powerful investment in the future of the friendship between our countries.
In this endeavour, JAOS has made an enormous contribution over 30 years to promote study abroad in Japan and to improve the study abroad environment.
We wish your organisation and its members continued success in the years ahead.
Matthew Knowles Country Director Japan British Council
On this working and festive occasion I would like to extend my best wishes and sincerest sentiments of esteem to Jaos, the Japanese Association of Overseas Studies that celebrates 30 years of activity.
First as a member of Felca representing Italy, and now, even more thoroughly, as president of the Federation, over the years I have come to know your quality, professionalism and achievements.
Masaru Yamada’s role has been fundamental in the establishment and development of Felca.
The contributions that Jaos has brought to Felca have always been valuable and interesting.
It has often happened that other national associations have learnt and taken example from what has been done by Jaos in Japan and internationally.
I want to renew my warmest wishes to Yamada-san to Tatsu-san and to all the people who are part of Jaos and whom I have met over the years.
In front of us we finally have a period of recovery after three very difficult years.
Associations are the ideal instrument to strengthen the work and role of specialised agencies.
Jaos, like all the other Felca national associations, works for international exchanges to promote mutual understanding and makes a small but significant contribution to world peace.
Best wishes Jaos for another thirty years of excellent results.
Paolo Barilari – Felca President
