Committee Composition & Members

The committees operate in a specific format and engage in concrete activities.

Event & Organization Activation Committee

Team A

Leader: Masateru Manabe, Vice President of JAOS
This committee plans and operates the “JAOS Study Abroad Awards” event, which commemorates “Study Abroad Day” on November 12th established by JAOS. The event aims to recognize individuals and organizations that have spread the greatness of studying abroad in Japan.

Team B

Leader: Tomoyuki Nishimori, Director of JAOS
This team works towards enhancing information sharing and communication among stakeholders in the study abroad industry. They organize events such as the annual JAOS/FGER Information Exchange Meeting between JAOS members and study abroad representatives from various embassies. Additionally, they plan and manage social gatherings after the bi-annual JAOS General Meeting to activate the JAOS organization.

Team C

Leader: Shu Ikeguchi, Director of JAOS
Study Abroad Fair Hosting Team:
This team is tasked with planning and executing JAOS Study Abroad Fairs both online and offline. They collect participation fees from participating companies to allocate towards advertising.


Public Affairs Committee

Chairman: Yohei Otsuka, Director
This committee is dedicated to promoting activities related to various initiatives in government, local authorities, and public institutions, focusing on fostering global talent and regional revitalization. Their goal is to establish social trust in the study abroad industry and contribute to society.


Organizational Development Committee

Chairman: Yoshikazu Ueoku, President of JAOS
Vice Chairman: Miyoko Urasawa, Director of JAOS
This committee drives activities aimed at expanding JAOS membership and networks both domestically and internationally. In Japan, they focus on recruiting new regular members, associate members, partner members, and supporting members. Internationally, they solicit participation in the JAOS Partnership Program (tentative) targeting overseas educational institutions.


JAOScc Operation Team

Leader: Mayumi Yamada
This initiative is responsible for operating the JAOS Certified Study Abroad Counselor training course and certification system.


Japan Association of Certified Study Abroad Counselors (JACSAC)

President: Yoshiko Fujinobe
This association aims to provide continuous information and opportunities for further development to individual counselors, contributing to the healthy development of international exchange and study abroad education in Japan.
